About This Product
Every full moon, every month, twelve times a year — the lunar calendar’s most regular worship occasion.
Purnima Vrat is the full-moon fast observed on every Shukla Paksham’s 15th day. Twelve observances annually, each associated with a specific deity or purpose: Guru Purnima (July), Sharad Purnima (October), Buddha Purnima (May), and nine others. The samagri is universal across all Purnima observances: white chandan (lunar association), white sesame, jasmine dhoop (moonlight fragrance), and the Chandra Arghya (moon offering) elements.
Twelve items, weighted toward the white-and-cooling palette that lunar worship demands. White chandan instead of yellow, jasmine instead of sandalwood, white sesame instead of black — the colour associations are deliberate and consistent with Chandra’s cooling nature.
The 12x-per-year frequency makes Purnima kits a high-velocity SKU. Households that fast on Purnima do so consistently, and the consumable samagri depletes every 2–3 months. For importers, this means reliable reorder revenue year-round.
Purnima observance cuts across all regional and sectarian lines — every Hindu tradition acknowledges the full moon’s significance.
