Govardhan Puja (Annakut) Kit

The day after Diwali — and the kit that captures the one puja most families skip buying for because they forgot. Govardhan Puja (Annakut) falls the day after Diwali main night. Krishna lifted Govardhan hill to shelter Vrindavan from Indra’s wrath, and the puja recreates this: a symbolic Govardhan made from cow dung cakes is worshipped and offered food (annakut). The cow dung cakes are not optional — they form the physical representation of the sacred hill. Eleven items for the complete Govardhan observance: dried cow dung cakes for the hill construction, standard samagri for the puja, and the Vrat Katha book for the recitation. The kit is deliberately simple because Govardhan Puja follows an exhausting Diwali night — families want completeness without complexity. The commercial timing is the insight: Govardhan falls the day after Diwali. Most families are puja-fatigued and have not pre-purchased specific Govardhan supplies. The kit that solves this last-minute gap captures a sale that would otherwise go to loose purchases. Available for private label with custom packaging. MOQ on request.
