About This Product

Vishnu’s fiercest avatar — the one with Panakam prasad that no other deity accepts. Narasimha (the man-lion incarnation of Vishnu) is worshipped specifically for protection against enemies and removal of obstacles. The ritual has unique elements: Panakam — the jaggery-black-pepper-water drink — is the prescribed prasad, and red chandan replaces standard sandalwood because Narasimha tradition requires the red variant. Eleven items reflecting Narasimha’s specific prescriptions: red chandan, Tulsi Ark (mandatory for all Vishnu forms), jaggery and dry black pepper for Panakam preparation, and the Narasimha Kavacham — the protection prayer that Prahlada recited. The Kavacham book is the devotional anchor. Narasimha Jayanti falls in Vaishakha (April–May), but Narasimha worship occurs whenever protection is sought — during legal disputes, health crises, or before challenging undertakings. ISKCON communities worldwide observe Narasimha Jayanti with particular devotion. The Panakam ingredients (jaggery + black pepper) are the differentiator that no generic Vishnu kit includes. Available for private label with custom packaging. MOQ on request.

Narasimha Kavacham Book
Narasimha — the half-lion avatar who burst from a pillar at twilight to destroy the unassailable Hiranyakashipu — represents Vishnu’s promise that protection comes when all conventional means fail. The Panakam prasad (jaggery, pepper, water) echoes the Deccan temple tradition where this cooling drink is distributed to devotees.
